Graded Pilates Classes

Safe, precise, and tailored to individual ability

Because consistency is the foundation of practice, all sessions are strictly graded. Explore a range of classes from absolute beginners to advanced dynamic movement, ensuring progression alongside peers of the exact same level.

The Importance of Graded Practice

Movement should always be safe, precise, and tailored to your current physical ability. To ensure every session delivers the right balance of challenge and support, classes here are never mixed ability.

Whether you are rehabilitating an injury, managing a specific health condition, or seeking an intense core workout, you will be placed in a session alongside peers at your exact level. With instruction anchored in the rigorous standards of the Body Control Pilates Association, time is dedicated to understanding your body and rectifying muscle imbalances. This graded approach guarantees that your strength is built from the inside out, safely and effectively, without the pressure or risk of an unmatched group.

Classes For Every Stage

Pilates classes are held in small friendly, groups primarily mat-based using small apparatus – balls, bands, toning circles and foam rollers – to support and challenge you.

Core Levels

Beginners

For those who are new to Pilates or who want a gentle class focusing on the basic principles, improving posture, flexibility and strength around the joints. You will improve your core strength, reduce muscle stiffness and increase your flexibility.

Improvers

For those who have grasped good basic technique, focusing on increasing flexibility, core strength, stamina and more complex patterns of movement. Classes are matwork based including using small props to help strengthen and tone your body.

Improvers Plus

For those who want to be challenged with tougher exercises. With improved flexibility and stamina this class challenges core strength and control designed to build muscles endurance and a toned body. Classes are matwork based including using small props to help strengthen and tone your body.

Intermediate

More challenging for the core and for co-ordination. The aim is for movement to be flowing and dynamic so the body becomes evenly strengthened and toned. Classes are matwork based including using small props to help strengthen and tone your body.

Advanced

With a faster tempo and flowing transitions, working towards the 36 ‘classic’ original exercises that were designed by Joseph Pilates for execution on the mat. Modifications will be given where necessary. You will develop your Pilates technique and skills by means of a balanced, effective, total body workout – with particular focus on your core. This is a tough workout leaving you feeling strong and energised.

Specialised Classes

Reformer on the Mat

The Matwork is unassisted and is considered to be more challenging than the Reformer as it is the body working against gravity. The reformer on the mat is a great way for the more advanced body to get connected into the Powerhouse and challenge the core strength and control. Reformer on the mat adds variety and challenge to the to the workout.

High Intensity Power Pilates (HIP Pilates)

A dynamic, cardio-infused Pilates class aimed at raising the heart rate and improving functional strength. We use light weights and dynamic movement to challenge the whole body. Great for bone health and cardiovascular fitness.
